| Q: |
Is rhythmic
gymnastics only for girls? |
| A: |
Currently yes. There are
only a few rhythmic
programs for boys internationally. |
|
| |
|
| Q: |
How does rhythmic
gymnastics differ from artistic gymnastics? |
|
A: |
While
artistic gymnastics is often done on top of equipment,
rhythmic gymnastics is done solely on the floor with the
use of apparatus such as a ball, clubs, hoop, ribbon, or
rope. Instead of dangerous tumbling, rhythmic focuses on
flexibility, balances, leaps, and pivots. |
