experienced (yes, they are actual rhythmic gymnasts!), the
location and class times are convenient for busy families, and
the philosophy is child-centered and caring. My daughter’s
self-confidence has improved considerably since she started with
Emerald City in January of 2009. Since then, she has made huge
gains in the areas of poise, coordination and overall body
strength. Rhythmic gymnastics is a great sport for young
children because it combines gymnastics, ballet and modern
dance. The risk of serious injury is lower because instead of
working ON an apparatus, children work WITH an apparatus, such
as a rope, ball, hoop or ribbon. No balance beams to fall from,
and no vault landings to miss…it’s much safer. Emerald City
Rhythmic Gymnastics is owned by an amazing family whose
philosophy emphasizes holistic instruction and realistic
