"Perhaps we could hardly find a better experience of the past which expresses the body than gymnastics. I Believe, in gymnastic, for the body and music for the mind."

In December of 2010, Emerald City Academy of Rhythmic Gymnastics put on a winter performance inspired by Raymond Briggs’s story The Snowman. Two of our gymnasts played the Snowman and his friend. The two danced together, played together and took a journey together. On their journey, they encountered dancing elves, bluebirds and snowflakes. To kick off the 2010-11 competition season, the gymnasts turned into elves and  performed their beautiful floor and ball routines for the Snowman and his friend.  After the performance, the gymnasts and their families came together for a party to celebrate the holiday season and the gymnasts’ inspiring performance.
